About Us
The Austin Ball’rz have established themselves as a prominent presence in Softball Austin, our city's LGBTQ+ softball league, over the past decade. Our team has consistently achieved success by earning medals in both national and regional tournaments. We take pride in upholding the values of inclusion and competitiveness, making us a welcoming and supportive community for players of all backgrounds.
Our Mission
At the Austin Ball’rz, we actively recruit individuals new to softball and organized sports, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment to learn and compete. Our diverse team encompasses individuals of different ages, races, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series
We are thrilled to announce that the Austin Ball’rz have again secured a bid to participate in the NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series (GSWS) in 2023. This event will occur in Minneapolis from August 28th to September 2nd. Our Fourth Consecutive Appearance!
Support Our Journey
With over 350 teams competing across multiple divisions, the 2023 GSWS in Minneapolis promises an exhilarating and highly competitive experience. For our team to attend, we estimate that each player must cover expenses of approximately $1,500, including travel, lodging, meals, and other necessities for the entire week. We believe in offering equal opportunities for all Ball’rz to participate and thrive, regardless of income.
As a team of 14 players, our total expenses will exceed $20,000. While each player is committed to contributing a significant personal amount, we seek sponsorships from local businesses and organizations to help us raise $5,000.

Sponsorship Opportunities
You can make a meaningful impact by sponsoring our team at one of the following levels:
- Slugger Level - $250
- Team Captain Level - $500
- MVP Level - $1,000
- Champion Level - $2,500
All sponsors will receive recognition on our team's dugout banner at the World Series, as well as on our team's website and social media platforms. Your support will not only enable us to compete but also help us promote diversity and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ sporting community.
